Lockable Glass Display Cases

There's an old adage that claims loving something means setting it free... but we would prefer to lock it up! Businesses can't stay open if their products grow legs of their own and walk out the door. At Tecno Display, we understand just how frustrating it can be to stumble upon missing merchandise during your inventory auditsthat's why we install security locks in every custom display case that we craft.

Available lock styles include:

  • Cam Locks

    • These locks come standard with a thin metal plate that is adhered to the interior surface of the case and a small cylindrical frame that contains the locking mechanism.

    • In glass display cases, the cylindrical frame will be a shorter length than the style used for the wooden display cabinets. This stylistic difference allows the lock to lay flat on the exterior surface of the showcase, rather than protrude outward.

    • This sort of lock is utilized most often for securing the drawers of cash wrap counters in retail stores and wooden cabinets with glass doors in office settings.

  • Push Locks

    • The design of this type of lock features a metal frame that consists of two tubular sections that interlock with each other. The exterior section holds the lock in place while the interior section extends outward and pushes inward as the lock is opened and closed.

    • Similar to cam locks, the tubular frame installed in all glass display cabinets will be a shorter length than the style used for the wooden showcases. However, this lock will protrude from the exterior surface of the glass case.

    • These locks are typically seen in free standing display cases and recessed showcases used in wholesale retail shops.

  • Plunger Locks

    • This lock relies on small metal pieces linking together and is used in display cases with sliding glass doors.

    • A flat frame holds the lock in place while a long, thin key intertwines with a circular, hollow mechanism that branches into the interior of the glass display case to prevent the doors from sliding when locked. The circular mechanism attaches to the key when unlocked.

    • Glass jewelry showcases frequently use this type of lock to secure their rare gems.

  • Pneumatic Locks

    • These locks involve a piping system that is operated by airflow. The benefit of this sort of lock is that it can be completely hidden within the interior of the display case.

    • Museum display cabinets prefer this style when presenting their artifacts.

  • RFID Locks

    • This lock takes technology to the next level! It relies on radio frequencies to lock and unlock the showcase—its keyless design utilizes a remote.

    • These locks are often used in custom display cases found in the homes of private collectors and hotels.

This February, lock down your love! There's no profit in watching silently as sticky fingers help your merchandise disappear. Thankfully, we're here to increase your security. You can rest easy, knowing that your products are protected in our lockable glass display cases!
