Value of the LED Lighting In Display Cases

For almost twenty years free standing glass display towers and wall display showcases had halogen as their primary source of lighting. Tall display cases have their standard lighting installed in the top canopy above the glass display area. Since some of the lighting will be blocked by the larger items placed on the various shelves many consumers have the side track lighting installed on the sides of their display cases. Quite recently there has been a switch to LED top lighting in as well as side track lighting. LED is definitely whiter, does not produce any shades and spreads evenly throughout the display case. LED lighting such as transformers and light bulbs have now become very affordable. They last very much longer than halogens and consume much less electricity. When you think that you will keep your display case for ten years or more it makes all the sense in the world to go for LED!
